What is the darkest legal tint in Queensland?
Good question — and one we get asked every day. In QLD, front side windows must allow at least 35% VLT (visible light transmission). Rear side windows and the rear windscreen can go down to 20% VLT. The front windscreen can only have a tint strip across the very top — no more than 10%. We know QLD tint laws inside out, so every install we do is fully legal. No guessing, no risk of defects.
How long does window tinting installation take?
It depends on the job. A standard car tint usually takes 1.5 to 3 hours. A home with 4 to 6 windows is typically done in 2 to 4 hours. Commercial jobs vary based on the size of the building. Most of our customers book in the morning and have it done by early afternoon — same day, no drama.
Does window tinting still work at night?
Yes — but differently. At night, window tint still gives you privacy from street lights and passing headlights, and reduces glare from oncoming traffic. The heat rejection benefit is mainly a daytime thing since that’s when sunlight hits. For homes, night privacy film is a great option if that’s your main concern — we can walk you through the right film for your situation.
Can window tinting actually lower my energy bills?
